Saving an Old Lady in the Rain, Turns Out She's a Billionaire
Twenty-two-year-old Lin Xiaoman came from the mountains to deliver takeout in the city, working until midnight daily to save for her brother's tuition. On a rainy day at an intersection, she found an old lady in a worn coat curled up in a puddle—having a stroke! A crowd surrounded them with phones, but no one dared to touch the "trouble." Xiaoman threw away her delivery box, carried the old lady on her back, and ran to the hospital, using all her 3,000 yuan savings for medical bills. She left without a name fearing complaints, but three days later, a Rolls-Royce blocked her rental house. The old lady was the owner of the Su Group, worth hundreds of billions! Mrs. Su held her hand to repay the favor, but Xiaoman refused with red eyes: "I just did what's right." Mrs. Su smiled: "Then be my assistant—100,000 yuan a month, room and board—and keep this lonely old lady company." Xiaoman never expected that one "busybody" act would turn her life around.
