Red Walls Under Spring Snow Plot:

Inside the red walls of the imperial mausoleum, Jiang Xue, a mausoleum guardian, has spent a decade tending to the late emperor’s withered plum tree. Her stagnant life is broken by Shen Yan, the new imperial guard commander sent to investigate the "will secret". On a spring snow night, Jiang Xue—picking plum branches—bumps into patrolling Shen Yan. Her fingers stained with plum juice, she smiles like a red plum in snow. They fall for each other, but Shen Yan’s sword eventually targets Jiang Xue: the new emperor wants to destroy the late emperor’s will, and Jiang Xue is its guardian. When spring snow falls again, the plum tree by the red wall blooms brightest. Jiang Xue, holding a half-burned will, says to Shen Yan, "I didn’t keep the will, but I kept my heart for you," then collapses in his arms. When Shen Yan uncovers the truth and returns to take her away, Jiang Xue’s body is as cold as spring snow, her hand clutching a bamboo-patterned handkerchief—she’d secretly woven it for three months, waiting for the snow to melt to give him.
