Mid-Autumn: The Ultimate Taste of Us
Mid-Autumn: The Ultimate Taste of Us Plot:
Lin Xiaoman guards "Manxiang Garden," an old mooncake shop at the alley entrance, locked in a fierce battle with Jiang Shiyan, the investment CEO sent to demolish the alley—Jiang had seen this "urban renewal project" as his career "kingdom," determined to conquer this "tough nut." But when he catches Xiaoman making mooncakes for left-behind children in her shop, memories flood back: the little girl who gave him an osmanthus mooncake ten years ago was none other than her. Back then, little Jiang Shiyan, neglected by his wealthy family, survived the lonely Mid-Autumn night only because of her mooncake. As the demolition countdown nears, Jiang suddenly betrays his company—he helps her turn the old mooncakes into trendy intangible cultural heritage and transforms the old alley into a "Mid-Autumn Memory Museum." He tells Xiaoman, "I used to think 'kingdom' was skyscrapers, but now I know: my kingdom is the sight of you guarding the mooncake oven." Amidst the scent of mooncakes, they reconcile and realize: the finest taste in life isn’t luxury, but someone who stays with you to protect the old days, turning every Mid-Autumn into a lifetime of sweetness shared by "us."
