Dreams Fading, Dreams Cold Plot:

Lin Wan, an insomnia psychologist, is haunted by the same dream nightly: under the locust tree in an old alley, a woman in a moon-white cheongsam holds a wool ball, her red, cold fingers murmuring, "Why hasn't Zhao come back?" The chill even seeps into her real life. Until Xu Ze, an architect, visits—he says he always dreams of a girl in a cream sweater (exactly Lin Wan) squatting at the alley entrance knitting a scarf. Tracking this, they learn the woman is Xu Ze's grandmother Shen Qing, who missed Lin Wan's grandfather Chen Zhao due to war; their dreams are a "reunion web" woven by their ancestors' unfulfilled regrets across time. When Lin Wan holds Chen Zhao's late gloves for Shen Qing in the dream, and Xu Ze wraps a warm coat around Lin Wan in reality, the two trapped in "cold dreams" finally find the warmth to heal their dreams in each other...
