On the Brink of Bankruptcy: The Kids I Sponsored Came to My Rescue

On the Brink of Bankruptcy: The Kids I Sponsored Came to My Rescue Plot:

Lin Wan, a ten-year entrepreneur, faced bankruptcy after her business partner ran off with funds. At 3 a.m., she squatted downstairs of the office building eating instant noodles, clutching a hand-made greeting card from the mountain kids she’d sponsored for eight years—she hadn’t dared contact them for three months, scared her mess would worry them. But the next second, the glass door slid open: a girl in a blazer held up a lawyer’s license and yelled “Sister Wan,” followed by a burly guy with a farming co-op contract and a programmer carrying a laptop full of code… Turns out the kids who once lay on her lap asking “Sister Wan, can I go to high school?” had long been preparing secretly. Just like she once pulled them up, they were here to catch her firmly when she was about to fall into the mud.
