Lin Wan, a shipwreck restorer at the museum, has been haunted by the same "sunken boat dream" for three years: on a rainy night in the late Qing Dynasty, she watches a boy in a moon-white robe sink with a boat into the river. Until she takes charge of restoring the "Guixu" shipwreck from the Guangxu era, where she finds an old diary with her own handwriting—belonging to Gu Zhao, the young master of a shipping merchant. Even more eerie: Gu Shen, an antique dealer who often visits the museum, looks exactly like Gu Zhao in the diary.
