Glow in the Embers
Glow in the Embers Plot:
Lin Wanwan, an old-item restorer, always deals with "things from embers"—charred notebooks, deformed silverware, each holding unspoken regrets. Until Lu Zhao, a firefighter with amnesia from a rescue mission, shows up with a blackened pocket watch. Inside the watch case is half a photo of a little girl, which fits perfectly with the half of a childhood photo Wanwan has cherished in her drawer. It turns out that ten years ago, Lu Zhao rushed into the fire to carry Wanwan out, but he was hit by a collapsing beam and lost his memory. All these years, every "ember" Wanwan has restored has been a way to wait for the "person who gave her glow." When Lu Zhao touches the watch, fragmented memories flood in: the little girl's cries in the fire, the warmth of handing her the photo... Can they retrieve the "glow" hidden by fate from the "embers"?
