The Stitcher of Souls
The Stitcher of Souls Plot:
Lin Xiaoman, 23, runs her grandfather’s old embalming shop, labeled “unlucky” by the townsfolk. Her life twists when a battered male corpse is secretly delivered—with a glass marble in his pocket, the same one Xiaoman lost as a child. Breaking the rule “never probe the dead’s cause,” Xiaoman follows the marble trail and discovers the corpse is the “nameless uncle” who saved her from a fire 15 years ago. His death hides a conspiracy: developers faked an accident to force old town demolition. As Xiaoman stitches the dead man’s broken body with care, she battles those trying to cover up the truth—fighting for justice for her savior, and sewing back the dignity torn from the embalmer, a profession shunned by society.
