I'm Eight, and I Suppress All Evils Plot:

Eight-year-old Lin Xiaoman is the last heir of the hidden "Evil-Suppressing Sect," who has practiced spellcraft with his grandfather in the mountains for ten years. On his first day at a city primary school, bizarre events hit his class: black vines suddenly burst from desks, his deskmate falls into a coma without warning, and even the gentle homeroom teacher’s eyes turn scarlet as she spews ghostly breath.
