We Said It Was an Act, But You Mean It Plot:

Lin Xiaoman asks her neighbor Lu Chuan to pretend to be her boyfriend to avoid marriage pressure, setting a rule: “Stick to the script, no real feelings.” But Lu Chuan goes all in—warming her frozen hands on a rainy night, deflecting nosy relatives’ questions for her, even staying up all night when she has a fever. Just as Xiaoman panics over her growing attraction and tries to end the act, Lu Chuan pulls out a love letter he’s kept for ten years: “Since the day I picked up your homework for you in high school, I’ve never been acting.”
