After Regaining Sight, I Lose You for the Rest of My Life
After Regaining Sight, I Lose You for the Rest of My Life Plot:
Su Wan, a painter who has been blind for five years, makes a living by “painting cities with sounds”. Her neighbor Lin Shen is her light in the dark—he would rub osmanthus fragrance into her hair and gently guide her hand when she drew wrong lines. But the night before her sight-restoring surgery, Lin Shen suddenly disappeared, leaving only a note saying “Don’t look for me”. After regaining her sight, Su Wan traced the old things and found that this gentle man was the hit-and-run driver of the car accident that blinded her. When she finally found Lin Shen teaching children to paint in a mountain village, he turned away wearing sunglasses—his eyes had long been blind due to the sequelae of the accident. “Never seeing each other for the rest of my life” was his five-year guilt, and the last tenderness he gave her.
