Old Ren and the Sea Plot:
Retired fish raft keeper Lao Ren stubbornly rejects the developer's demolition offer for "Guixu Fish Raft"—a promise he made to his late wife: "When the jellyfish fill the sea, let's watch the sunrise together one last time." His rebellious granddaughter Xiaotang flees to the beach after a fight with her parents, planning to secretly sell the raft to "free" him.
