After Dark

After Dark Plot:

Lin Xiaoman, a solitary illustrator, has been plagued by strange occurrences recently—every night after dark, an anonymous package appears at her door, containing her childhood relics: a one-armed doll, a notebook with the note "Xiaoman be brave," and even her late mother's pearl hairband. She dismisses it as a prank from a secret admirer, until one late night the doorbell rings. Standing outside is a woman who looks exactly like her mother in her youth, holding a gilded envelope: "Your mom said to give this to you after dark." But when she opens the envelope, an old photo inside sends shivers down her spine—little Xiaoman, holding hands with two "mothers."
