No Returner at the End of the White Fog Plot:

Reporter Su Xiao ventures alone into Qingchuan Town, a place perpetually shrouded in white fog, to find her missing geologist brother. Lin Shen, the forest ranger, warns her repeatedly: "There are no returners at the end of the fog." But Su Xiao discovers an old photo in Lin Shen’s wooden chest—her brother is standing right beside him, smiling. That night, she sneaks into the fog and sees her brother calling her name. When she turns around, Lin Shen’s face slowly morphs into her brother’s. It turns out that ten years ago, Lin Shen followed her brother into the fog to investigate an abnormal magnetic field, and both were trapped by "unfinished obsessions": Lin Shen is stuck in a loop of "waiting for a returner," while her brother’s obsession is "protecting his sister."
