Bright as a Thousand Suns Plot:

Lin Xiaoman, a photographer, shut herself off after her sister’s accidental death—until she met Xiaotang, a girl as sunny as her late sister. Claiming to be “the light sent by your sister,” Xiaotang forces her way into Xiaoman’s life: rediscovering the unfinished “Urban Warmth” photo series her sister left behind, digging out the sister’s old diary from the bottom of a trunk, even replicating the sister’s ginger tea on a rainy night. But just as Xiaoman begins to open up, she finds her sister’s old necklace in Xiaotang’s backpack—revealing Xiaotang is the orphan her sister sponsored for a decade, here to fulfill the sister’s last wish: “Make Xiaoman smile again.” When the truth of “the replacement” comes out, Xiaoman realizes: her sister never left—she turned the warmth of a thousand suns into another person to keep loving her.
