Lin Wan, an archaeology graduate student, travels to the deep mountains of Western Yunnan with half a book of "Western Yunnan Secret Files" left by her missing grandfather. On the way, she meets Amo, a quiet guide. Following the clues, they find a group of ancient stone statues covered in vines—each statue’s face exactly matches the villagers who have gone missing in recent years!
