Picking Up Dad on New Year's Eve: The Wealthy Turn at the Nursing Home
Picking Up Dad on New Year's Eve: The Wealthy Turn at the Nursing Home Plot:
On New Year's Eve, Li Shunhong, the only elderly resident left in the nursing home, became a punching bag— the caregiver, annoyed at his trouble, dumped his hot meal upside down on the table; his children sent a message saying “company dinner, can't leave.” As he squatted in the corner picking up rice grains, a fleet of luxury cars suddenly pulled up in the snowstorm. Bodyguards in black suits flooded into the hall, and Liu Hanyang, the leader, shouted “Grandpa!” with red eyes. It turned out Li Shunhong was a retired wealthy old chairman who had intentionally “moved” into the nursing home three years ago to test his children's sincerity. Now, he finally waited for his nephew's son who truly wanted to take him home. The caregiver was so scared that he kept slapping himself, and the children who rushed over were blocked by bodyguards. Li Shunhong held Liu Hanyang's hand and smiled: “This New Year's Eve, someone finally came to pick me up”— the bullied old man was actually the “grand ancestor” the entire wealthy family had been waiting for.
