When I Astonished My Family

When I Astonished My Family Plot:

Lin Xiaoman has been a "rustic daughter-in-law" in the Gu family for three years, despised by her mother-in-law as "unpresentable". Her husband Gu Chengchuan always keeps her at a distance due to work, and even her 8-year-old son thinks "Mom is not as good as my classmates' moms". Until she attends a charity dinner for her best friend—dressed in a gilded gown with self-designed jewelry, she astonishes the entire audience. It turns out she's a retired genius fashion designer! When her mother-in-law sees her surrounded by celebrities on TV, her husband finds her award certificates hidden for three years, and her son shows off her design drafts at kindergarten, the once "invisible" housewife finally gets the warmth she deserves: her mother-in-law learns to cook her favorite sweet and sour ribs, her husband cancels business dinners to go grocery shopping with her, and her son tells everyone "My mom is a superhero". But she doesn't know—her husband's change has long been foreshadowed. He found her old diary a long time ago; he just didn't dare to get close, fearing she'd be hurt by the gossip of the wealthy family...
