The Top Scholar’s Quest to Clear His Mother’s Name
The Top Scholar’s Quest to Clear His Mother’s Name Plot:
Lin Zhao, the newly crowned top scholar, has hidden a decade-long grudge—his mother died wrongfully accused of treason. His pursuit of justice leads him to Su Wantang, the "daughter of a witness" who holds a bloodstained confession from his mother… yet secretly slips him letters implicating the prime minister. As a baby’s silk handkerchief from the royal archives and a poison list from the prime minister’s mansion emerge, Lin Zhao uncovers a bombshell: his mother’s death is tied to the emperor’s hidden lineage—those who killed her were covering up the emperor’s "non-royal" birth. And Su Wantang’s identity? A trap set by the prime minister—she’s an orphan kidnapped to spy on the scholar. When Lin Zhao’s sword presses against the prime minister’s throat, and Su Wantang hands him life-ending evidence through tears, he hesitates: does he want revenge for his mother, or to keep the girl who dared to risk her life with him even in the trap?

Su Xiaotang was kicked out by her stepmother for “stealing the family heirloom jade bracelet.” While eating a cold bun outside a convenience store, she suddenly bound the “All-Round Top Student System”—complete tasks like “rank first in the grade” or “solve the Olympiad final problem,” and she can unlock money, skills, even cultivation buffs!
