Heartbeat Alignment Plot:

Su Wan, a marginalized surgeon labeled a "nepotism hire" at the hospital, is forced to perform a heart transplant on Gu Jingshen, a cold and aloof CEO—only to discover the donor is her first love who went missing three years ago. After the surgery, Gu Jingshen seems to have undergone a "soul swap": he can cook her favorite soft-boiled eggs, accurately recite their old secret code, and even blurts out her first love's catchphrase while holding an umbrella for her on a rainy night. Su Wan is convinced it's her "old love returning in a new body," but a chance encounter reveals a death investigation report of her first love in Gu Jingshen's drawer—he had long uncovered the donor's identity before the surgery and approached her to uncover the truth behind her first love's death. When she slaps him and calls him a "liar" through tears, Gu Jingshen pulls out a stack of notes labeled "Su Wan's Preferences," his eyes red: "I practiced the soft-boiled eggs for three months, guessed the code by scrolling through your WeChat Moments, and even the catchphrase… I secretly recorded your voice and listened to it a hundred times before I dared to say it. Those aren't his memories—they're proof of my own heartbeat, wanting to get close to you." It's then they realize her first love's "disappearance" was a plot by Gu Jingshen's business rivals to steal his heart transplant technology patent. Gu Jingshen has long laid a trap not only to avenge his friend but also to return the sincerity hidden in the "fake memories" to the girl he's secretly admired for three years—turns out the so-called "heartbeat returning to its place" is never about replacing the old, but two hearts finally finding their way to each other.
