The Loosened Kite String
The Loosened Kite String Plot:
At 16, Su Xiaotong and Lin Chuan’s kite lost its string—and Lin suddenly moved away due to family issues, leaving no goodbye. Ten years later, Su, now a traditional kite craftsman clinging to her old workshop, is about to take an overseas offer to escape past regrets when a man with that very broken string walks in: it’s Lin, who’s been missing for a decade. He says he’s traveled the country to find her, just to say the “I like you” he never got to. But Su, terrified of “sudden loss” again, instinctively wants to “let go” of the string she just grabbed. When they reattach the string to a kite, they realize: what broke wasn’t the kite string—it was their unspoken feelings, which had tied their hearts into an untied knot long ago…

Li Yaya once left quietly with their one-year-old twins, heartbroken by the "career-first" attitude of the ice-cold CEO Xiao Wenyu. Six years later, just as she was running a cake shop in a small town with her kids, the man who once even calculated the "cost-effectiveness" of smiling appeared—wearing casual clothes, holding their daughter's watercolor painting, with their son's mud on his pant legs, his voice hoarse like a crumpled letter: "Yaya, I learned to make your favorite osmanthus cake. Our daughter wants Mom to wear a parent-child dress with her, our son asks why his dad is always in photos..." In Li Yaya's cake display case, there's always the custom chocolate plaque Xiao Wenyu gave her years ago, engraved with "Y+X=Home." His cold face back then was clumsiness hidden under a suit; today's "lovestruck fool" is his true heart stripped of pretense. This six-year-late chase for his wife is finally going to complete the "us"—all thanks to their two little matchmakers.
