Asking the Spirit & The Moon Carries My Longing Across Thousands of Miles
Asking the Spirit & The Moon Carries My Longing Across Thousands of Miles Plot:
Lin Wan could never accept that her boyfriend Gu Zhao died in a car accident. Determined to “see him one more time,” she followed the legend of the “Spirit Asker” from the elders, wandering all over the ancient city’s bluestone streets, and finally found the dilapidated temple deep in the old alley on Mid-Autumn Night. Shen Xingyuan, the young man in a blue robe guarding the temple, said coldly: “Communicating with spirits requires your most precious possession.” Without hesitation, Lin Wan took out the moonstone left by Gu Zhao—it was the original moonstone he’d waited three nights on a mountain top to photograph when they got engaged. As the formation activated, Lin Wan saw Gu Zhao’s soul shielding Shen Xingyuan from a deadly evil yin force with his body. And the jade pendant around Shen Xingyuan’s neck was exactly the same as Gu Zhao’s amulet from his past life. It turns out Shen Xingyuan is Gu Zhao’s reincarnation. In his previous life, Gu Zhao was corroded by evil spirits while saving Lin Wan. Before his soul scattered, he sealed a faint soul fragment in the moonstone with his last spiritual power. In this life, he waited as a spirit guardian just to lead Lin Wan to untie their unfulfilled fate from the past. When moonlight spilled over the temple’s tile eaves, Shen Xingyuan looked at Lin Wan—her eyes red as she called “Zhao Zhao”—and finally smiled: “This time, it’s my turn to guard you.”
