Snow-Covered Eastern Courtyard
Snow-Covered Eastern Courtyard Plot:
The snow-sealed Eastern Courtyard in deep winter is the only remaining old residence of the fallen Shen family. Shen Zhaozhao, the young lady, has to rent the courtyard to Gu Heng—a mysterious man with a half-silver mask—to raise money for her critically ill mother. However, on his first night, Gu Heng digs up a bronze box buried in the courtyard for ten years, which contains a handwritten letter from Zhaozhao's missing father. As the snow deepens, old servants of the courtyard fall ill one after another in strange ways, and Gu Heng's identity is gradually revealed: he is the sole survivor of the Gu family, which was wiped out due to the Shen family's involvement years ago. The secret in the bronze box points directly to the truth behind Zhaozhao's father's death. When the obsession of revenge collides with the desire to save her mother, the Eastern Courtyard under the snow curtain holds a fateful entanglement no one can escape.

His first encounter with Jin Yiying, a field nurse, was a bicker—he found her "overly worried," she called him "death-defying." But during an air raid, Qin shielded her medicine box with his body; when the factory foundation collapsed from rain, Jin led villagers to refill it overnight. They raced against time, outwitted enemy spies, and quietly fell in love. Until the factory’s test run day, a Japanese reconnaissance plane locked on. Qin gave Jin the last air-raid shelter ticket and rushed to the machines. Nan Xi, who was reborn into a blended family in the 1970s, faced a prickly stepbrother Gu Chuan right after birth—this little girl who “stole Dad’s attention” made Gu Chuan instinctively avoid her with a cold face. But Nan Xi insisted on sticking to him to “make her presence felt”: slipping her secretly saved fruit candies into his palm, squatting by the stove to roast burnt corn for him, and even holding a picked-up stick to shout “Don’t bully my brother” when he was surrounded by village kids. When her aunt was forced to jump into the river by her evil in-laws for “being infertile”, Nan Xi dragged her stepdad and stepbrother to the in-laws’ yard, using the “spicy toughness” of the 1970s to leave the evil mother-in-law speechless, stomping her feet in anger. From an “unnecessary outsider” to the “apple of the family’s eye”, Nan Xi used her cuteness and warmth to turn the cracks of the blended family into the sweetest congee.
