Full Moon Over the Countryside Plot:

Lin Wan, an advertising planner, returns to a mountain village in western Zhejiang to fulfill her grandma’s last wish: finding the "guardian of the old locust tree on full moon nights". She first meets Chen Mo, a man isolated by villagers, who silently guards the old locust tree as if hiding a secret. On the full moon night, Lin Wan discovers from her grandma’s diary a shocking truth—Chen Mo’s grandfather was a Red Army soldier saved by her grandma decades ago, and they had agreed that "each generation would wait for each other under the tree on full moon nights". Chen Mo, however, is misunderstood as a "jinx" by villagers for keeping this promise. When the ancient pact clashes with modern prejudice, Lin Wan decides to help Chen Mo uncover the truth. Under the full moon, they resolve misunderstandings and fulfill the grandma’s half-century-old regret.
