Ten Years of Flowering, A Void in Bloom Plot:

Lin Xiaoman cared for the "Guixu Orchid" left by her mother on her deathbed for ten years, believing that when it bloomed, she would hear her mother’s "unfinished words"—she always felt guilty for making her top gardener mother miss an international competition because of her illness. Three days before the flowering period, her mother’s old friend sent a diary: it turned out her mother gave up the competition voluntarily because she found out Xiaoman had congenital heart disease and wanted to spend more time with her; the orchid would never bloom—it was made of a fake corm dyed with phosphor powder by her mother, just to give Xiaoman a "hope" to get through treatment. When Xiaoman touched the "budding" orchid, she suddenly understood: the ten-year wait was never for the flower, but a "never-expiring love" woven by her mother with a lie.
