Snow Unmelted at Buddha's Feet
Snow Unmelted at Buddha's Feet Plot:
19-year-old monk Kongchan has guarded the ancient temple with green lamps for ten years. Every Laba Festival, he sweeps the snow before the Buddha for the little girl who gave him a sandalwood Buddhist bead a decade ago—she promised, "I'll come take you to see the human world when I grow up." Now she's a sickly young lady from a capital marquis's mansion, forced into a political marriage by her family. But Kongchan hides a secret: a curse that will kill him the moment he leaves the temple, cast when he saved her years ago. This year, the snow falls heavier than ever. The girl crawls to the temple gate with her last breath. Clutching the cracked sandalwood bead, Kongchan faces an impossible choice—uphold the Buddha's teachings he's followed for a decade, or break the curse to see the girl he's waited for ten years one last time?
