Fake Devotion Plot:

For three years, Lin Xiaoman thought Chen Mo was her “perfect boyfriend”—he’d cross half the city with hot soup on rainy days, remember her menstrual taboos, and fill his WeChat Moments with their photos. Until she burst into a restaurant and saw Chen Mo holding a new girl’s hand, laughing: “To deal with clingy people, pretending to be affectionate is the easiest trick.” All that tenderness was just an act. Instead of making a scene, Lin played along: she still texted daily, “Did you eat?”, secretly saved his cheating chats, and even let him “accidentally” see her with her childhood friend. When Chen Mo panicked and begged to get back together with red eyes, Lin took out the recording and smiled: “You taught me—pretending to be affectionate works better than the real thing.”
