The Backup System: A Terminally Ill Bootlicker Is Fought Over by Four Heiresses to Save His Life
The Backup System: A Terminally Ill Bootlicker Is Fought Over by Four Heiresses to Save His Life Plot:
Lin Yang, a poor guy, is the 'invisible bootlicker' for four wealthy heiresses—delivering breakfast, fending off suitors, listening to rants, yet not even getting a like on their WeChat Moments. Sitting on the edge of a rooftop after being diagnosed with late-stage lung cancer, he suddenly gets a 'Backup System' notification: 'Confess to the four heiresses (Su Wan, Shen Yue, Xu Qing, Gu Shuang)—each success grants 3 months of life + 1 million yuan.' Deciding to go crazy once before dying, Lin Yang forces himself to act. To his shock: Su Wan, the cold conglomerate heir, blocks him in her office and says, 'I've been waiting for this'; Shen Yue, the spoiled jewelry heiress, smashes his beat-up taxi and says, 'Ride my supercar from now on'; Xu Qing, the gentle medical genius, drags him for a full-body check and says, 'I'll treat you personally'; Gu Shuang, the cool esports champion, announces on live stream, 'Lin Yang is my boyfriend!' Lin Yang goes from being an 'invisible bootlicker' to the 'exclusive treasure' of the heiresses—his cancer cells start shrinking, his bank balance skyrockets, and he has to deal with their 'competition for favor.' But just when he thinks his life is at its peak, the system issues a deadly order: 'Choose one heiress to marry within a month, or all rewards will be revoked + immediate death.' Only then does he realize the four heiresses have long known about the system, and their 'initiative' is a ten-year-long 'counter-bootlicking scheme'...
