Tender Shoulders Bearing Village Lives Plot:

Lin Wan, a top medical graduate, gives up a provincial hospital job to return to Sangzi Village, her mountain hometown, as the only village doctor—after the old one passed away. Villagers eye her slender shoulders doubtfully: “Can this girl handle our lives?” When Aunt Li's grandson falls into a high fever coma, the family would rather trek to the county hospital than trust her. Lin Wan kneels and begs through tears: “Another half hour, and the child will be brain-damaged!” She saves the child with acupuncture, only to find out that night she's pregnant with her volunteer teacher boyfriend Chen Mo's baby. Just as she gains trust, a wild mushroom poisoning outbreak hits from a neighboring village.
