No.81 Art Museum Plot:
Down-and-out curator Lin Xiaoman takes over a dying old art museum, only to discover "spirits" in the exhibits—an Republic-era painter's self-portrait that draws new outlines of his lover at midnight, a Tang Dynasty pottery figurine that secretly tidies display cases, and an 80s camera that keeps popping up photos of a strange girl. To fight the real estate developer's demolition plan, Lin is forced to collaborate with the "spirits" on an exhibition, only to uncover their obsessions: the painter has waited 80 years for his missing lover, the figurine wants to guard its owner's old home, and the camera holds the photographer's unsaid regret for his daughter.
