Feeding My Wife First, Then Saving My Sister in the Famine
Feeding My Wife First, Then Saving My Sister in the Famine Plot:
In the 1942 Henan famine, Lin Shen, a former warlord’s son in hiding, disguises himself as a refugee to avenge his family against the unscrupulous merchant Shen Wanzong. He accidentally enters a “contract marriage” with Shen’s adopted daughter Shen Zhixia—she needs to save her late mother’s tea house, while he wants to use the Shen family’s identity to uncover the truth. Amid the famine, Lin Shen steals grain, digs wild vegetables, and even spends his last silver dollars on chaff cakes, all to feed his “nominal wife”. But when he learns his biological sister has been sold to human traffickers by Shen Wanzong, the balance between revenge and saving his sister shifts. Meanwhile, Shen Zhixia gradually discovers his real identity… A fake marriage hides real affection, and a fire of revenge burns in the famine. In this game of “feeding my wife first, then saving my sister”, who will fall in love first?
