Lovers Lost on Midsummer Night Plot:

Lin Xiaoman and Gu Chuan, a couple of three years, planned to celebrate their anniversary at Firefly Valley on a midsummer night. But Gu Chuan suddenly went missing—his backpack left at the entrance, phone dead, even his beloved cat-shaped keychain (never out of his sight) lying on the stone steps. As Xiaoman searched along the firefly-lit trail, she met an old flower seller who claimed, "I saw him follow a girl in a white dress into the woods," a convenience store owner who recalled, "He bought two lychee milk teas, saying they’re for his 'sweetest person'," and a camping guy who chuckled, "The kid was panicking on the phone, saying 'If I can’t find the spot, I’ll end up kneeling on a scrub board'." Late into the night, Xiaoman heard Gu Chuan’s voice in the firefly glow—there he was, holding a "Marry Me" sign made of LED lights and fireflies, pants caked in mud, grinning sheepishly: "I wanted to set up a surprise, but I got lost myself..." Xiaoman’s eyes welled up: Turns out, the best kind of "lost" on a midsummer night is finding you—and seeing the rest of my life in your eyes.
