Empress Above, Hear My Tale
Empress Above, Hear My Tale Plot:
Su Xiao, a down-and-out modern screenwriter, transmigrates into a young eunuch in Empress Shen Zhao's palace and is caught red-handed writing *The Secret History of the Empress*. With a blade at his throat, he blurts out, "Your Majesty, I'm writing about the 'Young General' you've hidden for ten years"—the lover who guarded the border city with her before she ascended the throne, the unhealed scar in her heart. To survive, Su Xiao spins a tale: the general didn’t die in battle—he took a poisoned arrow for her and hid in the countryside to recover, leaving camellias (her favorite flower) outside the palace every year… But as he talks, he panics—his "nonsense" includes details only Shen Zhao knows: how she choked on osmanthus wine as a child, and he wiped her mouth with his sleeve; how sweet the roasted sweet potatoes were on that snowy night in the border city. Shen Zhao’s gaze softens from coldness to tenderness, her指尖 brushing his face: "Why does your story match mine exactly?" Then Su Xiao notices—the red string on his wrist and the jade pendant at Shen Zhao’s waist are a pair. He’s the "dead" Young General! He faked his death to eliminate her political enemies, and now he’s back, just wanting her to hear "their story" once more.
