The Medicinal Scent Isn't for You Plot:
Su Wan, a healer from Yunzhong Mountain, loses her entire family to execution after her father is framed for poisoning the imperial medicine he presented. She goes undercover as a medicinal perfumer to seek revenge on Gu Zhao, the son of the Northern Marquis—the man behind her father's death. To retrieve evidence from the marquis's secret chamber, she proposes a "contract marriage": she helps him reject the太后's arranged marriage, and he assists her in reopening the old case. But after marriage, she discovers Gu Zhao not only knows the truth about the medicine case and has been secretly protecting her, but her mind-controlling medicinal scent also has no effect on him—turns out, five years ago, she saved him from a fatal cliff fall and gave him her "fragrance-resistant pill"? Before completing her revenge, she's torn between "utilization" and "sincerity": Did she set the trap to get close, or has he been waiting for her all along?
