A Pact with the Divine Plot:

Office worker Lin Xiaoman strikes a deal with a divine being to revive her best friend, who died suddenly from overwork—trading her “luck” for the friend’s rebirth, but every good deed erases a precious memory. She helps an old flower seller find her lost grandson, only to forget her first meeting with her friend; she retrieves a neighbor kid’s cat, yet loses the memory of her mom’s birthday. Just as she nears the end of the pact, she realizes she can barely recall her friend’s name. Then her friend appears, handing her a notebook filled with their memories—it turns out the friend knew about the deal all along, secretly piecing together the erased moments for her. The divine “test”? To teach her that “being loved takes more courage than giving love.”
