Cutting Half the Moonlight Plot:

Lin Xiaoman, an ancient book restorer, finds a half-written Republican-era love letter in an old book—“I cut half the moonlight, waiting for you to fill our window” —along with a half-moon silver ornament. Coincidentally, her roommate Chen Mo has the other half of the silver lock! It turns out the letter was written by Chen Mo’s grandfather to his lover Aning back then, but their connection was broken by the war. As they follow the clues in the old letter to uncover the regret the grandfather hid for a lifetime, the moonlit fragments shattered by time quietly piece together their mutual affection—turns out the most touching thing isn’t a complete moon, but someone willing to join your “half-journey” into every night ahead.
