The Road to Sunrise

The Road to Sunrise Plot:

Small-town girl Su Xiaoxia travels to Beijing alone to treat her mother’s illness and stumbles into former racer Lin Shen’s courier station. Lin Shen, who buried his racing dream after an accident, is now a sharp-tongued but kind-hearted “courier station veteran”; Xiaoxia saves money for medical bills by eating instant noodles every day and hides in corners crying after being yelled at by customers. They go from “arguing over lost packages” to “helping each other through tough nights”—Lin Shen finds a caregiver for Xiaoxia, while Xiaoxia secretly fixes his old race car. When Lin Shen sits in the race car again, Xiaoxia cries at the finish line holding a courier slip covered in “Go!”; when Xiaoxia’s mother is discharged from the hospital, Lin Shen picks them up in a courier van, and the sunrise spills just right onto the road—turns out the warmest light is two people turning each other’s darkness into dawn.
