Red Bean Ballad in the South

Description

In the Republican era, Su Hongdou, daughter of a wealthy family in Lingnan, is forced to marry a warlord's son. On the eve of the wedding, she meets Gu Nansheng, a Western-educated musician, and they fall in love through the melody of 'Red Bean Song'. When revolution sweeps the south and Gu's identity as an underground communist is revealed, Su must choose between family survival and true love. Their romance, intertwined with national turmoil, culminates in a poignant symphony at sunset.
