Pluck a Gardenia, Hold It Close
Pluck a Gardenia, Hold It Close Plot:
Thirty-year-old florist Su Wan tends to the gardenia garden in her old home. Ten years ago, she picked the most blooming flower there for her first love Gu Yu, who left without a word and cut off all contact. In early summer when gardenias are in full bloom, Gu Yu returns to the small town as the project leader of a real estate development, and the two reunite by accident. Su Wan deliberately avoids her old feelings, but Gu Yu presses on step by step. He not only takes out the pressed gardenia she hid in the old pen he gave her back then, but also gradually reveals the truth behind his sudden departure—it was not betrayal, but a life-or-death test that he had no time to explain. Amid the gardenia fragrance, the love buried by time finally has a chance to be rekindled.

Married to a Lame Hunter: Meat Every Meal in the Famine
In a year of famine, Lin Xiaoman was forced by her greedy stepmother to marry Gu Jingshen, a "lame and poor" hunter, in exchange for two bags of millet. The villagers waited to see her suffer on chaff and vegetables. But when she lifted the curtain, she saw a pot of fragrant wild boar stew on the stove——this man, rumored to "can't even dig a trap," not only gave her jujube cake hidden for three years but also blushed and said, "I'll take care of your meals from now on, meat every day." To her shock, Gu's limp was a disguise; he was actually the framed Crown Prince of Jing, hiding in the mountains to escape danger. When pursuers from the capital arrived and her stepmother came to steal food, Lin held a hunting knife and smiled, "This time, let me protect you." From a "sacrifice" to the "prince's beloved," they hid their deep affection in daily life until Gu took out the imperial jade pendant and kissed her: "Xiaoman, come back to the capital with me and be my princess."

Just as Su Wan thinks this is an "accidental sweet romance," she finds an old photo in Fu Jingshen's drawer: three years ago, when she was caring for her sick mother in the hospital, she gave her only hot congee to a stranger squatting in the corridor—and that stranger was Fu Jingshen, who was disguised as an ordinary employee back then.
