The Backlight Song King
The Backlight Song King Plot:
Once a top Chinese music star, Shen Ye retreated from the industry for five years after a performance accident damaged his vocal cords, now working as a sound engineer at a small bar. Rising reality show contestant Lin Xiao lost her voice right before the finals and was stunned by a snippet of humming from Shen Ye while he adjusted the sound. She pestered him to teach her, and though Shen Ye initially refused, he realized Lin Xiao’s voice could make up for his long-held regrets. They practiced in a backlit rehearsal room, and their duet of *Backlight* at the finals blew the audience away, helping Lin Xiao win the championship and letting Shen Ye finally step back into the spotlight after five years.
