At Last, the Evening Breeze Fades to Dust Plot:

Lin Wan, a landscape architect, reunites with her ex-boyfriend Chen Feng under the locust tree in an old alley scheduled for demolition after seven years apart. Chen Feng vanished without warning back then, and Lin has clung to their late-night promise to open a flower shop together, guarding the old locust tree ever since. Spotting a strange girl by Chen's side, she is about to confront him when Chen produces a stack of yellowed medical payment receipts and a seven-year-late letter: he had traveled abroad to raise money for her father's surgery, only to lose all contact due to a communication breakdown. As the evening breeze scatters locust petals over their shoulders, Lin finally realizes her seven years of obsession and waiting have ultimately faded into dust like the evening breeze.
