Bound to a “Family Happiness System,” she must reverse her “bad woman” persona to survive: using modern thinking to curry favor with the supply and marketing cooperative director for meat tickets, reconciling with her brother and sister-in-law who were once hurt by her past self, and even helping her introverted father secure a coveted kitchen helper job at the commune canteen. From secretly cooking braised pork only to be surrounded by her family, to leading them to run a “mutual-aid meat stall” at the village entrance, Lin Xiaoman transforms from a “universally hated” side character to the “family’s treasure.” She even unexpectedly sparks a sweet romance with Shen Shiyan, the cold-hearted educated youth male lead from the original novel, over “sharing meat”! Watch how this transmigrated master turns the tough 1970s life into a “meat-feasting comedy” with just a piece of meat!
