Silent Pages
Su Wan, a classical book restorer, stumbles upon a batch of Republic-era old papers and finds half an unsent love letter tucked in a *Chu Ci*—from Shen Zhixia, a female student, to Professor Gu Zhao. The last line, "What I didn’t dare say, the paper remembers for me," tugs at her heart. Tracing the faint postmark, she learns they lost contact in the war, and 80-year-old Gu Zhao still waits for Shen. Meanwhile, Su Wan is in a cold war with her archaeologist boyfriend Lin Shen: they love each other but can’t bring themselves to say "I want us together." One late night, touching the faded ink on the old paper, she realizes—true love isn’t "understanding without words," but "afraid you’ll miss it, so I must say it." She grabs the celadon bookmark Lin gave her to confess, and helps Gu find Shen, now living abroad. When the elders cry "I never forgot" over video, Su Wan laughs in Lin’s arms: the quietest pages hold the loudest heartbeat.
