Linked to Dad Plot:

AI engineer Lin Xiaoman has been estranged from her father Lin Jianguo, a stubborn retired policeman, for three years. Dad always used "I'm doing this for your own good" to keep his distance, missing her graduation, breakup, and even her mother's funeral.
