Linked to Dad
Linked to Dad Plot:
AI engineer Lin Xiaoman has been estranged from her father Lin Jianguo, a stubborn retired policeman, for three years. Dad always used "I'm doing this for your own good" to keep his distance, missing her graduation, breakup, and even her mother's funeral. To bridge the gap, Xiaoman secretly uses her self-developed "Memory Linker" on Dad's old phone, accidentally establishing a cross-time connection: she can hear Dad from 2018 (when Mom was alive and she was still a pigtailed kid), but Dad doesn't know she's grown up. When Xiaoman tries to fix past regrets with future clues—like reminding Dad not to miss Mom's last physical exam—she discovers a terrifying side effect: every conversation erases a piece of Dad's current memory. Now, Dad is losing his memory, yet he still remembers to "heat Xiaoman's milk for three minutes." Xiaoman must choose between "mending the past" and "saving Dad's present." Then, the Dad from the link reveals a secret: he knew he'd get Alzheimer's years ago, and his distance was to spare Xiaoman from watching him fade away...
