The Long Road to Initial Aspiration
The Long Road to Initial Aspiration Plot:
Lin Xiaoman, a planner at an advertising company, has numbly endured 996 work for five years—until her father sends her old college DV, which holds the footage she shot at a mountain primary school: "The Children’s Starry Sky". On the same day, Chen Mo, her former documentary partner, suddenly shows up, saying the left-behind child they followed back then is about to take the college entrance exam, but his filming project has stalled due to funding shortages. On one side is the "traffic-driven" plan the client is pressuring her to revise; on the other is the glowing childhood starry sky in the hard drive. Lin Xiaoman’s hand trembles as she holds the DV—she’d long forgotten she once said, "I want to shoot things that stay in people’s hearts". When Chen Mo shoves their old camera back into her hands, this time, she’s ready to take the unfinished "long road to initial aspiration".
