The Prevision Notebook
The Prevision Notebook Plot:
Lin Xiaochuan, a delivery rider who can’t even afford rent, is crushed by his mother’s critical illness and the urgent surgery fees. One day, a mysterious old man hands him a tattered notebook, saying, "It shows what’s yet to come." Skeptical, he writes "It will rain tomorrow"—and the next day, a downpour hits. He sells raincoats and hot drinks, tripling his earnings. Then he predicts a stock surge, making 100,000 yuan, and saves Su Xiao, the white-collar worker he secretly loves, from a car accident. But just as life seems to turn around, the notebook bleeds: "Every use shortens your life by one day." Caught between his mother’s operation and his own lifespan, Lin stares at the last page—where a chilling line waits: "You will lose the most precious thing."
