The Immortal Elm of Dayushu Village Plot:

Lin Xiaoman, a village official back to boost rural revitalization, finds villagers worshipping an old elm—claiming it hides a "treasure that draws immortal qi." She mocks it as superstition until one night, she picks up a glowing elm plaque under the tree. The moment she touches it, a warm current surges through her body—immortal qi entering her veins! The old accountant then reveals: the plaque is the village’s heirloom, only activatable by pure-hearted souls. But a businessman has come, pretending to buy the tree for tourism while plotting to steal the treasure. Lin must protect the tree, uncover its secrets, and fend off the businessman’s tricks. When the man raises an axe to the tree, the plaque blazes, and the elm’s branches wrap around the excavator—all villagers witness the "miracle." Finally, she uses the tree’s qi to develop wellness tourism, saving the elm and enriching the village. She realizes: "Cultivating immortality" is just the tree choosing someone who’ll guard their home.
