Is There A Problem With Me, A Jinyiwei, Covering The Sky With One Hand?
Is There A Problem With Me, A Jinyiwei, Covering The Sky With One Hand? Plot:
Shen Yan, the youngest commander of the Jinyiwei in the capital, became the "sky-covering hand" even the emperor deferred to, with his ruthless creed: "Better kill a hundred by mistake than let one slip." Until he found his childhood sweetheart Su Wan in the Jinyiwei prison, flipping through account books of embezzled military pay—evidence that could topple the court, and a death warrant for Su Wan. For the first time, Shen Yan broke his iron rule and burned the books, only to be slapped by Su Wan: "Are you covering the emperor's darkness, or your own unacknowledged heart?" When the power of "covering the sky with one hand" became the soft spot of "fear of losing her," when the mastermind pressed a knife to Su Wan's neck and asked, "Power or her?" Shen Yan finally understood: the sky he wanted to cover was never the emperor's—it was the sky where Su Wan could live with a smile. But this time, his hand holding the knife shook, because to protect her, he had to destroy the "sky-covering" empire he built himself.

Promise to Yun, Promise to Wan
In the 1960s at a Shanxi youth camp, Lin Wan, a "black five-category descendant," was bullied endlessly: her work points stolen, her fiancé dumped her publicly for "bad luck," even her mud hut splashed with swill. Until a rainy night, she found Gu Yunlai—a severely wounded air force pilot rumored to have "sinned"—collapsed in the cornfield. While recovering, Gu taught her to read, fought for her work points, and walked ten miles to get ginger tea when she fevered. But Gu's "old leader" suddenly arrived, calling him a "deserter" to arrest him. Clutching his military medal (engraved "Gu Yunlai, First-Class Merit"), Lin Wan climbed three mountains to appeal—only to find her ex-fiancé's uncle framed Gu! When Gu returned in uniform, Lin Wan squatted in their sunflower field, smiling through tears: "I didn't let you down, and you didn't let me down either."
