We Are Each Other's Light in the Dark Plot:

Lin Fengsong is an "emotional puppet" trained by his family, required to smile with exactly eight teeth; Wanwan'er is an orphan with secrets being hunted, who sleeps huddled in a bridge hole hugging a knife every night. On a rainy night, they crash into an abandoned warehouse—he shields her from debt collectors' fists, she uses an old gauze to wrap his bleeding arm. Afraid that getting close would drag each other deeper into darkness, yet they can't help caring secretly: he gives her his spare ID card, she leaves him the money saved from three months of steamed buns.
